Blog title: NEW UPDATE!!!

“following our dreams regardless of our age, situation or place in the world.”

Yeah, totally!

I remember this news story I heard on the bbc: Chip shop woman, 98, awarded MBE
You know I absolutely love that story.Somebody who is just happy doing what they're doing, loving their daily routine and only considering how they feel about themselves.
It's like we're told:

Oh you must do this in your lifetime,
You're young, you should be doing this,
You should travel more,
Go out and see the world,
You can do better than this for a living,
Blah blah blah!

If you're happy then you're happy.Oren I dig the fact that although you have travelled to many places, you think it's cool that your bro is not travelling and you recognize that his dream (at this time) does not involve physical travelling. That's really cool.
And that's why I really buzz off people like Constance who basically just get on with what they dig doing.I bet she's had a more fulfilled life working in her chip shop than many other people have had doing all those things that other people have told them they should be doing. The evidence is there, in that Constance is 98 and still loves her 'job'.

Oren, your blog post reminded me of two quotes from two of my favourite teachers:

” Without opening your door,
you can know the whole world.
Without looking out your window,
you can understand the way of the Tao.

The more knowledge you seek,
the less you will understand.

The Master understands without leaving,
sees clearly without looking,
accomplishes much without doing anything.” ~ from Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching

I think basically he's saying do your thing! You do your thing and I'll do mine.
Oren travels and makes films, Ronen writes his book from home, but none of you have opened the door. You're still living within yourselves, living your own dreams, just like Constance.”Without opening the door you can know the whole world” is a metaphor for “not living by and being guided by anything else other than the way you feel”.
“Without looking out your window you can understand the way of the Tao” is a metaphor for “not looking out to see what everyone else is doing to understand what you should be doing.”

Another favourite teacher of mine, Abraham Hicks, says something like:

“Maybe you wish to travel, so you get a map out and make marks on all the cities that you wish to visit. But at the end of mapping out your journey, you realise that your final destination is “Home”.But you don't think to yourself “well my final destination is home, and I'm already home, so I guess I'll just stay at home”.You go because of the thrill of the journey, because of the potential to experience things along the way and meet new people, etc”. And when you get back then you start to plan another journey, for the thrill of it!” ~ Abraham Hicks

What I get from all of this is basically that when we go with what feels good then we're living out our lifes intentions.Of course we live in a physical world and we see and hear things, but how we feel about them is what counts, not what we have been led to believe they are “this is good” and this is bad” or “this is a worthy occupation” and “this is a dead end job”.Working in a Chip Shop, Travelling the World, Writing a book from home, all the same thing when it's what each person really wants for themselves, what feels best to them.

“The sage is guided by what he feels and not by what he sees.
He lets go of that and chooses this.” ~ Lao Tzu

Choose this, choose you!

Cheers!
